This online privacy statement is generally intended to inform you of the ways the Midwest Collegiate Club Volleyball, Inc. (MCCV) website (“Site”) collects information, how the information will be used, and how MCCV protects information you choose to provide through the Site.
MCCV is a non-profit corporation, d/b/a MIVA or Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (see About Us). MCCV is committed to protecting the personal information you provide when you visit our Site. This Site collects two general types of information: (a) information you voluntarily provide to us, which may include personal information (such as your name, address, email address, etc.); and (b) information that may be collected automatically when you visit this Site through logs, cookies, and tracking technologies.
Information Voluntarily Provided by You
This Site will only collect personal information that you knowingly and voluntarily provide, such as your club’s leader names and contact information, rostered player names and contact information, photographs and other similar descriptive information. Personal information collected is intended to be used for the MCCV carry out its corporate mission, including but not limited to the operation of the league and various conferences. Personal information collected may also be used by MCCV as may be required or permitted by law, and to assist the MCCV as it deems appropriate, to more efficiently meet its non-profit purpose.
MCCV does not disclose, give, sell, or transfer any personally identifiable information (to the extent given) to third parties, unless MCCV needs to share the information to provide the services or information you have requested or that MCCV determines is necessary and appropriate to carry out its non-profit purpose. MCCV will not knowingly solicit or permit solicitation of personal information with spam and has taken reasonable efforts to ensure that this Site has security in place to protect against such solicitation. Notwithstanding, Site users should also take steps to protect their personal information by, for example, closing all web browsers after using the Site.
MCCV is not a covered entity subject to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, and thus to the extent that any user supplies health care information through the site to MCCV, MCCV is not obliged to protect such information in accord with HIPAA requirements.
To the extent that this Site may be improved at some future time to permit financial transactions through the Site, MCCV will encrypt credit card information and otherwise comply with applicable Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards and other on‑line transactional legal requirements.

You may choose to correct, update, or remove the personal information provided to us through the use of the Site by contacting MIVA Club Volleyball.

If you no longer wish to receive communications from MCCV, please inform us by sending an e-mail to MIVA Club Volleyball. Please indicate the type of information you wish to discontinue receiving from MCCV and the methods of communication you wish MCCV to discontinue using to contact you. To the extent MCCV provides any of your information to any third party for any MCCV authorized purpose, you may be required to contact the third party directly to discontinue receiving information or discontinue the method the third party chooses to use when communicating with you.
