BTMVA participants should make an effort to thank the Purdue Division of Recreation & Wellness for making the facilities available.
 
House Rules

Below are the House Rules that must be followed this year:

NO Outside Chairs:
Chairs will be available for spectator seating.  Individuals may not bring personal chairs.  Please leave your chairs home.
 
Building Access:
During all tournament hours, all participants and spectators must enter from the parking lot through the Northwest Entry leading directly to the Gold & Black Gym.
 
BTMVA Northwest Entry Hours:
  • Saturday:  8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Sunday:  8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
 
After entering the building via the Northwest Entry as indicated on the map above, spectators will be given a wristband that will facilitate entry if they leave the building and return.
 
 
Facility Use/Access:
BTMVA participants and spectators will have restricted access to the Gold & Black Gyms (courts 1-3) playing area and the Gym Lounge, which is the designated hospitality area.  Freshens Fresh Food Studio will be open a floor above the gyms.  Spectators and participants may go to Freshens and buy refreshments.  If they would like to reenter the facility through the main entrance (not the Northwest Entry) after purchasing refreshments at Freshens, they must display the wristband given to them when they first entered the facility.  These specified areas are the only places participants and spectators may go within the facility.  Participants and spectators may not check out equipment or utilize facility space not associated with the volleyball event.
 
Food & Drink:
  • Only bottled water is allowed in the gym.
  • Absolutely NO food or drink is permitted inside the gyms. This includes:   Alcohol (this should go without saying), Sports Drinks, Snacks, Energy Bars, etc.
Hospitality Room:
The Gym Lounge will be used for teams to store/consume food and drink. The room is located on the same floor, just outside the Gold & Black Gym (courts 1-3) entry. Purdue RecSports will provide tables, but there may not be enough for every team. There will be limited access to electrical outlets. Teams should not expect things that you store in the hospitality area to be secure due to the lounge being an open area.
 
Teams violating the food and drink policy (bringing banned items into the gym), will be subject to an immediate team delay penalty.   If you are not playing at the time of discovery, the penalty will be applied to your team's next match.
 
Trainers:
Sorry but Trainers will NOT be available.  First Aid supplies and Ice Bags will be available.
